TICKET SALES FOR STEEL BRIDGE SONGFEST OUTPACING PRIOR YEARS
(Sturgeon Bay, WI) Early ticket sales indicate that the fourth annual Steel Bridge Songfest, June 12 to 14, may be the best ever. With more than 100 artists scheduled to perform throughout Door County, fans are showing their support by getting their passes early. Organizers are predicting a sellout for the Saturday concert at the Great Lakes Yacht Services boatyard and packed houses for the dozens of separate venues where musicians will do shows.
Ticket holders will see some returning favorites like Jackson Browne, Jane Wiedlin, Freedy Johnston, Eric McFadden, Blueheels, Tony Brown, Ruby James, Geri X, James Hall, and Kim Manning. Steel Bridge newcomers include Louise Goffin, Victor DeLorenzo (Violent Femmes), Kacy Crowley, Linda Kay and Martin Jack Rosenblum. Fans will also get to participate in the CD release of Steel Bridge Songs Vol. 2, a compilation of songs written and recorded at Steel Bridge Songfest 3.
New additions to the festival this year are a vintage guitar display, art show and demos, a kid’s area for making musical instruments like cigar box guitars, and a shuttle bus running hourly between Fish Creek, Sister Bay and Sturgeon Bay. Many all-ages shows make the event family friendly and especially fun for teens. Tickets for children 12 and under are free.
Steel Bridge Songfest tickets are available by calling 920-743-5605 or logging online at www.steelbridgesongfest.org. The schedule of performances also is available online.
